Homeowner tree care, pond care, ornamental care, plus mosquito control and a section on how to use the products

Tree Care:

  1. PENTRA-BARK,  a bark penetrating surfactant, that opens up the lenticils (pores in the bark of the tree) and allows highly effective systemic insecticides and fungicides to enter into the tree. The spray material can move up through the tree into the leaves and buds. ADVANTAGES: First -easy to keep the spray material localized ( does not drift all over your neighbors property ), Second - kills pests not beneficial insects, and Third - spray is not all over your yard, but contained on and in your tree making it much safer for children and pets.
  2. AGRI-FOS SYSTEMIC FUNGICIDE -   controls Phytophthora, Apple Scab, Anthracnose, Fire Blight, Wilt diseases, Cankers, and other diseases of trees. Easy, safe to use, and highly effective on diseases of trees, turf, ornamentals, fruit, citrus, vegetables and many other crops.
  3. Orthene 97 WSP or 97WP - a broad spectrum systemic insecticide that controls borers, aphids, scales, catepillers, webworms, and suppresses mites. Comes in a WSP, a water soluble packet that dissolves when dropped into the water, or a WP wettble powder that mixes nicely into your spray solution.
  4. STRESS PHITER is used on trees, shrubs, ornamentals, turf and other plants when they are stressed and not doing well. PHITER is liquid systemic product and has a dipotassium molecule that helps plants overcome various stresses that they encounter during the growing season.

POND CARE:

  1. POND SAVER - is natural occuring bacteria that digests the excess waste and nitrogen in your pond and helps clear up a cloudy, algae infested pond. It is a safe product to use around children, pets, and livestock.
  2. AQUASHADE - is a safe pond dye that uses the blue and yellow dyes to filter out the sunlight to help keep algae and pond weeds under control.
  3. BLUE SPRINGis a safe pond dye for summer time use that only uses the blue dyes for algae control.
  4. CUTRINE PLUS GRANULAR -  a chelated copper for longer algae and weed control in your pond
  5. CUTRINE LIQUID -  an easy to use formulation that you just pour into your pond.

MOSQUITO CONTROL:

SKEETER D'FEETER  is a Natural Pesticide that is effective against mosquitos, wasps, spiders and othet insects.  SKEETER D'FEETER is "DEET" free and can be used on children and pets or applied around patios, tents, RV's, garages and  other areas to repell and kills insects.  It comes in a:

  • 4 oz personal spray bottle
  • 32 oz. hose in sprayer, and a
  • 1 gallon concentrate that makes 40 gallons of solution for pump or hydraulic sprayers.

 

 


 
 
 
HOW TO USE THESE PRODUCTS

Tree, Pond , and Ornamental Care plus Mosquito Control


Tree care: In this section you are going to let one of the newest technologies in tree care, PENTRA-BARK do the work for you. Easy to use and easy on your trees.

For insect control tank mix together:

  1. 3 oz. of PENTRA-BARK  per gallon of water 
  2. 4 oz of STRESS PHITER per gallon of water, and
  3. 3 oz of Orthene 97 WP (exception: use 5oz/gallon for Calico Scale), insects controled: aphids, scales, borers, webworms, catepillars ( read the label for other insects controlled)

For disease control tank mix:

  1. 3 oz. of PENTRA-BARK per gallon of water
  2. 1 1/2 qts to 2 qts of AGRI-FOS SYSTEMIC FUNGICIDE per gallon of water ( the tank mix is approximately 1:1 ratio - 1 1/2 qts. of AGRI-FOS + 2 1/2 qts of water or 2 qts. of AGRI-FOS + 2 qts of water depending upon the severity of the disease), diseases controlled are apple scab, anthracnose, Phytophthora canker, suppression of Verticillium in Maples

Next start spraying your tree from 6 ft. above the ground until run off occurs, then spray down to the base of the tree, repeat until you have sprayed around the entire tree.

Suggestions:

  • on trees with large lower limbs ( 6 ft. off the ground or lower ) spray several feet out onto those limbs for better control.
  • trees with less than a 4 inch DBH (diameter breast height measured at 4 ft off the ground) start spraying at 8 ft. above the ground. 

Cautions:

  • always wear the protective gear required on the label,
  • be careful do not get the concentrated spray on any foliage, it will damage the foliage.
